Am I a good candidate?
4 weeks before your appointment:
Do not undergo any chemical peel treatments, AHA peels, Botox and/or filler in the forehead, or strong exposure to sunlight. The skin cannot be in the process of healing or regeneration during the treatment process.
Discontinue the use of Retinol, Retin A, Lactic Acid or Vitamin C products on the skin. These products can significantly alter the skins ability to retain pigment.
10 days before your appointment:
Do not suntan, spray tan, self tan or tint your eyebrows. Make sure you have thoroughly read through your pre-appointment email. You may also review the aftercare below. This is a good time to have your brows waxed/threaded if you decide to do so. But, it is not required.
24 hours before your appointment:
Do not consume any alcohol, coffee, energy drinks or aspirin/blood thinner medication prior to your appointment. Make sure your appointment forms are signed, or arrive 10 minutes early to do so in Studio.

After the 14 days are complete, discontinue all aftercare.
It is important to return to your regular skin routine after the 14 days are complete.
Make sure to include your brow area in regular cleansing, moisturizing, and exfoliating.
*If any of the aftercare products cause irritation or sensitivity, please discontinue use immediately and contact us at 306-292-9403. We will advise you on an alternate healing care for your skin.
Immediately after your brow appointment your brows may appear slightly irritated, dark or uneven. Over the next couple of hours as the numbing wears off, the brow may begin to feel tender, Similar to the feeling of a sunburn or cat scratch. This feeling will subside in a day or two.
Around day two, the brow will begin to appear darker due to oxidization of the pigment on the skin. This will be especially noticeable for the Soft Powder brow technique. The brows will continue to darken until day 4. It is important not to panic, as this will not be your final healed colour.
You may also experience itching of the brow during this time, To relieve the itching, tapping over the brow is okay, but do not scratch!
Around day 5 your brow will begin the scabbing phase. This will be especially noticeable for the Soft Powder brow technique. The scabbing will look like very thin flakes or lines shedding off of the brow. The pigment will look very light underneath where the scabbing lifts. This is normal. It is okay for the scabs to come off when rinsing the brow or applying ointment, but it is important to never pick or pull at them.
Around day 10 to 14 the scabbing will be complete. Once all of the scabbing has lifted off, it is normal for the pigment to look quite light, and not as defined. This is because even though the surface of the skin is healed, the opacity of the skin is not. Around 4-6 weeks the colour will start to return to its final, healed colour.
Your brows won't last forever as Permanent makeup is designed to fade over time. Typically you will need a refresher appointment to maintain your brows every 18-24 months.
Factors such as sun exposure, perspiration, age, skin type and products used on the brow over the long term will vary how often your brows need to be touched up.
Here are a few good things to keep in mind to help prolong the hold of your permanent makeup:
If your brow is still flaking/scabbing after 14 days, discontinue the aftercare and go back to your usual skin care routine. This includes regular washing, moisturizing of the face, and going back to your regular hygiene routine. The aftercare routine is to only be followed for the first 14 days, no longer.
This question greatly depends on how much you sweat! You want to avoid anything that will cause beads of sweat to build on your forehead. Activities like spin class, hot yoga, or kickboxing bootcamps are an automatic no. but for some, you may be able to take a walk, practice yoga, or do some light weights without breaking a sweat.
Yes, as long as it does not touch the brow! we recommend keeping makeup 1cm away from the brow just to be safe. After the 14 days of healing, you are welcome to apply makeup to the brow.
As long as you do not have any hot weather plans within 2 weeks of your appointment, you have nothing to worry about. But if it is within 2-6 weeks after your appointment, it is best to apply SPF to the brow when in the sun to avoid hyperpigmentation.
