everything you need to know about microblading & soft powder brows

What is pmu?

Microblading and Powder Brows are a form of Permanent Make-Up, also known as PMU. A manual tool is used instead of a tattoo gun.

A fine Microblade or Nano machine is used to meticulously apply pigment into the epidermis of the brow.

This technique is not comparable to a body tattoo, where a traditional tattoo machine is used. A traditional tattoo places pigment deeper, into the dermis layer of the skin.  Microblading places the ink above the dermis in the epidermis.  The result is the ability to create fine lines and shading, that typically last 1-3 years. Please note, results may last longer/shorter depending on your skin type.

What is the difference between techniques?

A topical anesthetic cream is used both before and during your procedure.Of course, pain is subjective. But most people describe it as mildly uncomfortable, or do not feel any pain at all. It is not compatible to the pain of a traditional tattoo.

What is the difference between techniques?

Brie offers both Microblading, or the Powder Brow technique. Microblading is done with a hand-held tool called a "Microblade" and creates fine, crisp hair strokes. The Powder Brow is done with a nano tattoo machine and creates a soft, powdery effect. They are both created with an ultra fine needle, working softly on the skin.

Our studio is inspected regularly by the Saskatoon Public Health department.  Brie has multiple certificates in Blood Born Pathogens and sanitization/sterilization. Microblades, Nano Needles and other tools used are sterilized and completely disposable. Pigments are both Health Canada and European grade certified for microblading and micropigmentation.
